It's so gorgeous!!! We couldn't wait to get out in it. So Jarom wrapped Kaleb up in a blanket and took him out for his first snow experience.
Of course, me being the mother that I am, had to bring him back in and get him "properly dressed" for such a snow occasion.
I bought him some thermal underwear and was excited the moment had come for him to wear it for the first time. I thought he looked so cute in it.
Here he is in the complete winter attire. Ready for the snow again.
Jarom's so good at getting him to smile for the camera.
The snow soon melted after the 2nd day and didn't snow again until I think a couple weeks before Christmas. It was so fun to have a white christmas. All those songs about "winter wonderland" and "let it snow", are finally starting to have meaning to me. I'm definately enjoying the 4 seasons. So that was our first snow and now... Remember the first picture with the bbq in the backround? Well, here's the bbq now.
Crazy huh? We've had so much snow fall, over 3 ft and counting... A guy from our ward said Spokane has had more snow than any other city in the country!! And it was mentioned on the radio that there has not been this much snow in Spokane that the snow fall in the month of December broke a record since 127 years ago!!! Super crazy! We figure it's good that we had a lot of snow our first winter, so that the following winters will seem like nothing.
This was our neighbors car that got stuck trying to get out to work that morning. We're so grateful that Jarom is able to work from home and not have to commute in the snow.

Our first snow was two years ago (by that I mean Taiten's and Chris' first snow) and there were only a few inches. Then for Kaia's first it was about 4 feet, that was last year, and it was awesome.
My dad has 8 feet in some areas. That's crazy!
Wow! What a winter! Looks cold! Maybe it's just the camera, but it looks like the snow melted about 10 lbs off of you in a week! You look great! Cute snow pix! Happy New Year!
Wow Britta, I can't believe your dad got 8 feet of snow. That's crazy!! What area does he live in?
I hope you had a Happy New Year!
