A dream come true

I was so excited when my mom told me for my birthday she was taking me to see...

It was playing at the Spokane Opera House and we just saw it last friday night.
I had always wanted to see it, and used to listen to the soundtrack when I was a kid. The live performance was absolutely AMAZING...!!!! Way better than the movie! I even got a little misty eyed during the opening act, and during some of my favorite songs. Andrew Lloyd Webber is a musical genius. The songs are beautiful. Here are some of the costumes that were on display at the local mall.

The whole audience gave a standing ovation at the end of the show.

Mom & Dad thanks again for this amazing birthday gift.

Fall is Here!!

I love the fall! The leaves on the trees are turning into beautiful autumn colors of red, yellow, and orange. So pretty!! The temperature has dropped a few degrees as well. It makes me feel like the holidays are coming. Here's the trees outside of costco.
Fall has always been one of my favorite seasons. It's the time to wear warm clothes, bake yummy foods, and snuggle by the fire with hot chocolate. I love it, love it, love it!!! I think I'm really going to enjoy experiencing the 4 seasons here.

Speaking of baking yummy foods. I found a recipe for shepherds pie in the healthy baby meal planner that I've been reading. I've never made it before, but I decided to try it out. It turned out really, really good!! I made the adult size portion and cut a piece out in the shape of a heart for Kaleb to try.He loved it!! He kept squealing for more.
Here's a pic of Kaleb and Jarom snuggling on the couch.
These are some pics from the birthday bbq mom & dad did for me. Thanks again you guys it was fun, and dad those burgers were yummy!!!

Happy Fall everyone!!!!

Kaleb at 10 months

Hey everyone! Kaleb is already 11 months, but I never posted anything about him last month. So here is a bunch of pictures of him at 10 months old. I took these pictures in front of my moms house, because I thought it made a nice nature background.

I checked on him during a nap one day, and this is what I found...
This is my attempt to teach him to eat with a spoon for his first time.It was very messy, but he's getting better with practice. Now I usually have to scoop the food onto the spoon for him, and then he brings it to his mouth and eats. I bundled him up one night a let him watch a movie for a bit. Practicing his posture by balancing the toy on his head.He learned how to crawl at the beginning of 10 months. He was practicing by rocking back and forth on his hands and knees for a week before. Now he crawls super fast and gets into as much stuff as he can. I told Jarom he's in Search and Destroy mode. I can't seem to switch him off this mode unfortunately. He's definitley a true boy. He also learned how to pull himself up to standing during 10 months. More 11 month pictures to come. We hope you all have a great day!!!

Protecting Marriage and Children-Yes on Prop 8

Our family believes that marriage between a man and a woman is ordained of God, and that the family is a central role to his plan of happiness for us all.

Today the sacred nature of marriage between a man and a woman is at risk. The supreme court ruled that same-sex marriage is legal in California, allowing schools to now teach our children that same-sex marriage is acceptable. In an article under the latest news Oct 11th, on http://www.protectmarriage.com/, it talks about how first graders, in San Francisco, were taken on a field trip to city hall to see a same-sex marriage. Later in the article it reads:

["Prop. 8 protects our children from being taught in public schools that 'same-sex marriage' is the same as traditional marriage," said Santa Ana Unified School District board member Rosemarie "Rosie" Avila. "We should not accept a court decision that results in public schools teaching our kids that gay marriage is okay. That is an issue for parents to discuss with their children according to their own values and beliefs. It shouldn't be forced on us against our will," Avila added]

Prop 8 states that: "Only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California." This will not affect the existing laws for same-sex couples in California to have marriage-related benefits. To learn more about prop 8 please visit http://www.protectmarriage.com/

Please join us on Nov. 4th by voting YES on Prop 8 to protect marriage and for us as parents to have the right to teach our children the values and beliefs that we know to be true.

Birthday girl!

It was my birthday yesterday and I turned 28! (I feel like I should be turning 23 though.) Man it seems like the years just flash by! Anyway, yesterday was a great day! Jarom was amazing and made me breakfast in bed in the morning and watched Kaleb for me so I could sleep in a little. Then that night we went camping, which is what I've been wanting to do since we moved here. It was so fun! Jarom made a fire and we cooked tin foil dinners, s'mores, and had birthday cake. Later we watched the 4th season of the Office in our tent on the lap top. Yep, we're all about mixing up technology with nature. It ended up raining a little bit, but not till after we were nice and cozy in the tent. Hunny, thank you for making yesterday a fabulous birthday! Also, thank you to my family for your birthday wishes and for planning a family bbq for tommorrow. I love you guys!!
