California Visit

We are off to visit Cali next Wed.-Frid. Yep, it will be a very short trip. Jarom needs to go for some business meetings and Kaleb and I will be coming along for the trip. It will be great to visit with family and friends, and hopefully the beach... I only wish we could visit longer.

News!

Well we have some news. Jarom and I found out that I am... Pregnant!! Yup that's right I am for sure...PREGNANT!!! Hurray, we're so excited!! The news came as a bit of a surprise, since we weren't officially "trying", but we've been wanting to have another baby anyway so it worked out great. I've been having morning sickness, throwing up, and being tired and hot lately, you know, all the fabulous early pregnancy stuff. Unfortunately, we've already had a little scare of possibly losing the baby. So we've been hoping and praying that things will work out okay for this pregnancy. The good news is that we've had wonderful health care and Jarom has been a great support through it all. I've had a blessing and feel that the baby will be fine. My due date is November 26th, so the baby and Kaleb will have close birthdays. We will know more how the baby is doing after the ultrasound on Monday, and will definitely keep you posted.

Kaleb is already 18 months old. He is getting so big and developing in many new ways. He's learned how the say ball, baby (although he always says babies), bath, book, (a lot of "B" words), this, that, and still says momma, dadda, daddy. His voice is so cute and we just love him so much and kiss his squishy cheeks as much as possible. He's obsessed with balls, and he'll point out balls everywhere we go. He thinks anything round is a ball, so he'll call oranges, apples, and other round objects balls also. It's pretty funny. He's still such a happy little guy. He'll laugh at the silliest things. He loves playing with his daddy. Jarom can make him laugh so hard. He also loves cuddling with his mommy. Thanks to our new job, and all the different toys at the day care, he's learned to ride a 4-wheeled bike, scribble with crayons, and has learned to interact with other kids easier. He also enjoys building towers with blocks and crawling up on as many things as possible. He's so much fun to have around and we feel so blessed to be his parents. Work is going good. It was a hard adjustment for Kaleb and I at first. Kaleb would get overstimulated easily, especially during our busiest and loudest times. He also had a hard time sharing Mommy with other kids, and used to cry each time I would leave for a minute to use the restroom. He's doing much better now, and barely misses me during bathroom breaks. It's been a bit hard on us both physically too. We've both been getting all kinds of sicknesses from the kids there. We've had cold after cold, and Kaleb just recently had pink eye. Now that we've been working there for awhile though we've adapted better, and Kaleb and I love playing there with all the other kids. There's also two other pregnant women that work there, so we like to chat about being pregnant and what not.

We want to wish you fabulous mothers out there a very Happy Belated Mother's day. I feel so blessed to be a mother, and am grateful for my mother, grandma, and other mothers in my life who have been good examples to me!

My little Co-Worker

Kaleb and I will be working together starting Monday. I got a job at a local Gym working in the kids center. I wanted the chance to get out of the house and make a little extra money. The greatest thing about it is that I get to take Kaleb with me to work. I told him his job is to play with other kids and have fun. Another added benefit is that I get to use the facilities and work out!! Woohoo!! Let's just say I'm in need of some exercise. :o) I'm hoping working there will get me motivated to get in shape. Wish me luck!

What have those Watts been up to?

We've been a pretty busy family these last couple of weeks, and I haven't been in the blogging mood, so I figured it's about time I update our blog. So brace yourself for a little review on our family happenings lately.

On Valentines day the three of us ended up being sick and we weren't able to get a babysitter for Kaleb, but we didn't let that stop us from doing a little celebrating. Jarom took us out to a yummy dinner, and after we wandered around the mall and played some games in the arcade. It was a fun night!

The next week was our 3rd year anniversary which we celebrated with another amazing dinner at Tomato Street (an Italian restaurant), which has now become one of my favorite restaurants. Also in the same week my incredibly amazing husband ended up being on the news, 4 times!!! How did he do that you ask?... By breaking 2 Guinness book of world records of course!!! For those of you that don't know, Jarom enjoys doing soap bubble performances on the side. He's become very skilled at making soap bubble shapes, and performs some bubble magic, which led to the title of his business BUBBILLUSIONS. You can see some of the things he does on http://www.bubblemagicshow.com/. The two records he broke was for 1. The worlds largest soap bubble, and 2. the worlds longest soap bubble chain. It was very exciting to see Jarom up on stage performing. The local newspapers also posted some articles about him.

Then on Friday Feb. 27th we got the keys to our anniversary gift to each other... That's right, we bought the house, and moved in on the 28th!! We are so happy that everything worked out so that we were able to get this home. We feel so grateful for this amazing blessing, and are also grateful for those family members and friends who helped us during the home buying process and for helping us move in. The move went very well, and now it's time for unpacking.

So hopefully that explains our blog neglect lately. It felt like everything was happening at once, and we are glad that most of it is over! Phew!!

House Pictures

The house was inspected yesterday and it's looking good so far. Yay!! The inspector didn't find any major problems. The water won't be turned on until tuesday though, so we'll have to check back then to make sure the pipes didn't freeze and that the plumbing is in good condition.

Now for the moment you've been waiting for... here are some pictures of our potential first home. It has a split level entry, which I'm not a huge fan of, but can live with because I LOVE the rest of it! Here is the living room, we really like the windows.
And the kitchen, which I'm sure I'll be spending lot's of time in. I've always wanted a kitchen that has a window overlooking the back yard. Here's the view from the kitchen window.

It also has a deck and a big back yard with a garden.

I really enjoy the view of the sunset from the deck.
Kaleb is a very big fan of the house, which is also very important.Right now it has 3 bedrooms, 1 bath, and a 2 car garage. It has the potential for another bathroom, bedroom, and family room in the basement.
Thank you for all the good luck wishes. We hope it continues to work out, we'll keep you updated on the progress.
Have a wonderful week!!

House Buying Update

Our real estate agent called the next morning, after we put in our offer, and said the owners already responded!! Woo hoo!! They made a reasonable counter offer and want to close escrow in 30 days!! We are so excited and hope it continues to work out. It's a gorgeous home for an excellent price due to the soft market. I'll post some pictures once my computer is back to normal again.

Jarom left for Las Vegas on Tues morning for business and he'll be back in time for the inspection on Saturday. We're not expecting too many problems because the home was built in 2008 and was only lived in by the previous owners for 2 months. It still looks brand new!

We'll keep you posted about how the inspection goes. Wish us luck!

House Hunting

Thanks to a little encouragement from Jarom's cousin, we've decided to take advantage of the awesome rates and try and get into a home. We've been looking for the past 2 weeks I think, and have found some that later turned out to be dissapointments. We've learned that pictures can make a home look better than it really is, and that some listing agents don't always write the correct square footage of a home. We can't believe how many homes there are in spokane that were built before 1910!! Needless to say it's been tough finding a good fit that also works with our budget.
Luckily we just found one that we love and is super nice!! We think it will be a great starter home for us, and are putting an offer on it today. Hopefully the owners accept our offer and it all works out.
