Yes, we still exhist!

It's been a lonnnnng time!! I got out of the blogging habit and decided it's time for me to get back in the game. I don't even know if anyone even checks our blog anymore, but I thought it's worth a try. I feel awful that I blogged so much about Kaleb and hardly any about Ethan. Not to fear though, I plan on catching up on some cute stories about that little man.

In the meantime we are heading out of town to Utah! Yeah!! We are leaving tommorrow morning! Road trip 2010! That's right we are attempting to fit into our Toyota Camry with the 2 kiddos in the back and all kinds of things stuffed in the trunk and wherever else space may be, and then drive 10 hours one way. We definately plan to stop here and there a long the way. Wish us luck.

We are so excited to get to see Jarom's side of the family. First stop will be at Jarom's brother Aaron and his wife Krystals house. They have the cutest little boy AJ who is just a little older than Kaleb.
Next we will head over to the Watt's family Ranch where Jarom's Mom, Grandma and Grandpa, and a few other siblings will meet us. It will be great to see them all again, and it will be the first time they will see Ethan.
Now for some pictures of our boys lately. Kaleb super loves stickers (what kid doesn't right?) So last Sunday he thought it would be fun to decorate himself and his little brother to match him.
And heres Ethan. He is already 9 months old. He's been crawling for over a month now, and shortly after that started to pull himself up on things and cruise around. It's so fun to see him develop. He's been in a hurry to catch up to his big brother and has been catching on to things much quicker than Kaleb did at this age. He's been practicing his walking skills as well. He laughs so hard when we take him by the hand and give him a chance to walk around the house. He's an all around fun and sweet baby. We all love his so much!!

It's Kaleb! He is still an awesome big brother! I seriously believe he understands Ethan's language, because often he will be my little interpreter. When Ethan babbles or cries, Kaleb will say things like, "Mommy he's hungry, or he want's to go night night, or he wants Mommy." And he has been right each time. It's so cool! I'll catch up more on Kaleb later as well.We went to the Spokane fair last Friday with my mom, and grandma and had a great time! Here I am with my grandma about to enjoy some yummy funnel cake.Kaleb got some tickets from his "Oma" (my mom) to ride the rides. He only went on one and then ran from one ride to the next thinking he would ride them and then once we put him on it, he would change him mind and want to get off. He's still a little afraid. Since we still had tickets left Jarom and I rode on the zipper. This ride is crazy! We kept screaming the whole time and then felt sick for the rest of the day. I remember I used to ride this when I was a kid and never get sick after, what happened to those days?
Wells that's the end of my update. I hope you all have a fabulous rest of the week, thanks for stopping by!

He's Here!!

Okay, so I realize I've been terrible at blogging lately. I think it has something to do with the location of my computer being in the basement office, and Kaleb destroying everything in sight when I go down there. So I'm sorry this is so late! Anyway, baby Ethan has arrived, Yay!! (5 weeks ago that is!) :o) (I actually started this post a couple weeks ago, that's why the dates wrong.)
Here I am after a super yummy thanksgiving meal about 7 hours before my water broke.
Here's Ethan's long birth story for those couple of family members that were asking. My water broke at 1 am the morning after thanksgiving. The contractions started shortly after that, and at 6 am they were 3 minutes apart and I couldn't sleep through them, so off to the hospital we went. Unfortunately when we got in the car my contractions slowed down to 10 minutes apart, and by the time we got to the hospital my labor practically stopped. So I tryed some walking and other things to get it going again, but I was still progressing slowly. I was only dialated to a 4 after being at the hospital for 15 hours. The doctor said that Ethan was "LOP" (a posterior position) and that I probably would have progressed faster if he was anterior. So I agreed I should get a little help from pitocin. After just 2 hours of pictocin I was dialated to a 6 and was extremely exhausted and ready for some sleep! So I asked for an epidural, and was able to rest a little. The nurses had to keep increasing the pictocin because my body would get used to it and my labor would slow down again. Well by 6am the next morning I was finally dialated to a 10 and the nurse said I could try pushing. Then after 5 hours of exhausting pushing Ethan came at last. He was born at 11:15 am on November 28th. I am very grateful that the doctors were supportive of me to try for a VBAC. They were so patient with me and I was able to have a successful VBAC after all. Hurray!!!! Jarom did an amazing job as my coach, I was so glad he was there to help me through it all. We also had a wonderful doula who helped us throughout the entire labor and delivery. Here I am with Ethan shortly after he was born. I felt like my eyes were going to pop out each time I pushed, and you can see how swollen they are. He weighed in at 7 pounds 6 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long.A very proud daddy. We are so grateful to have him here. He is such a sweet baby.

Kaleb wasn't able to visit us in the hospital room because of the whole swine flu thing, so I asked my mom & dad to bring him to the hospital as we were leaving and they let us visit in the waiting room before being discharged. Kaleb got to hold Ethan and kiss him for the very first time.
First time riding in his car seat.

Here he is at a week old. Kaleb's been such a good big brother to Ethan. Every now and then he would ask, "I hold baby" and he would snuggle with him and give him kisses. So sweet!! I love having two boys!!

Thanks for stopping in and visiting!!

It's finally happenned...

Well, I knew this day would come... We have been so lucky for the past two years to have my sister and other friends and family giving us clothes for Kaleb, that we have not had to buy him very much at all. Our boy has been doing his growing job a little too well lately, and has officially out grown all of his pajamas, and most of his other clothes. So the time has come for me to do some shopping. I went out on the hunt for pajamas the last couple of weeks, and here's what I found. A few of these sets are new, and a few are from a local consignment store. I couldn't believe that at some stores new pajama's can be as much as $15.00-22.00 a set. Yikes! Don't even get me started about how much shoes cost for a toddler. Anyways, I feel like I found some good deals though!
This is one of his favorite pairs because it has all the sport balls on it. He's become pretty picky about what he wears lately, and usually if it doesn't have a sport ball, motorcycle, or characters from the movie "cars" on it, then he won't want to wear it. What a silly boy!

My birthday

It's about time I do a little update on this here blog. I turned the big 29 this month!!! On October 3rd to be exact. To celebrate I begged Jarom to take me to see Topol in Fiddler on the Roof. It was playing in Spokane at the beginning of September and I figured it was a once in a lifetime chance. Jarom agreed to celebrate a month early for me. For those of you who don't know Topol played the main character in the movie Fiddler on the roof. I couldn't believe he was actually going to perform live!! He's got to be close to 80 years old now, but he's still going strong!!! When he first stepped onto the stage the whole audience clapped and cheered so much that he had to wait to say his first lines. It was amazing to see him perform live!! Jarom had never seen the movie before so he had no idea what to expect. He said he really liked it and the next day he wanted to watch the movie.

Then later for my actual birthday we went out to dinner at Red robin, (we can't get enough of those garlic steak frys...mmmm..yummy!!) (There's a good shot of my 32 week pregnant belly) After the dinner we went to play ping pong. Jarom ended up winning me, twice! I was in the lead for the first game though and he barely won me. By the second game I started getting a little to tired of bending over to pick up the ball. Oh well, maybe better luck next time.
Thanks again Hunn for a fabulous birthday!

It's a boy!!!

We had an ultra sound a month ago, and found out we're having a boy!! Sorry for the late update, I haven't been on the computer much lately. We are very excited! We picked out the name Ethan. We're still trying to figure out what middle name to give him. I've been thinking of Daniel though. Here I am at 25 weeks pregnant. So last week I got started painting the room the boys will share. I was waiting to make sure we were having another boy before keeping the nautical theme I originally thought of for Kaleb's room. Here's a peek of how it turned out... It's hard to tell in the pictures, but I used two different shades of blue for the opposite walls. I couldn't find any nautical kids borders that I liked, so I decided to paint my own. Definitely not a professional painters work, but I was impressed with how it turned out. I made my own stencils and everything. It was a lot of work, but once I got started I was determined to finish. Painting the border was actually pretty fun. I felt like an artist with my paint pallet and brushes.

Utah Road Trip 2009

We took a road trip in August down to Utah for my cousins wedding and the Watts family reunion. We stopped at my friend Rachael's house on the way and got to visit with her family for a bit. Her son Kaden is the cutest little guy!! After visiting with Rachael, we headed off to the Mt. Timpanogos Temple for my cousin Mike's wedding. It was a beautiful wedding, and so much fun to visit with my Aunt, Uncle, and Cousins again. After the reception we made the extra 4 hour drive to the Dickinson family ranch in Cedar city, after driving 6 hours earlier that day from Montana!! We got there at 2 in the morning and were very tired!!!! As you can see the Watts family reunion's are not very small. Jarom's Grandma & Grandpa Dickinson just finished building a beautiful new house at the ranch. We really enjoyed visiting with the family. One day they planned a carnival for all the kids. Here's Kaleb with his carnival tickets. Jarom also did a bubble show for the whole family. We loved it!!We also got to see the newest addition to the family. Jarom's older sister Rebekah just had her 2nd baby girl Kiah. Her she is with Jarom's mom.
We wish we could've stayed longer, but after a couple of days it was time to make the long road trip back home. On the way back we stopped at a hotel in Boise, ID. Kaleb enjoyed riding on the luggage cart. Don't you wish you could be small enough to do fun stuff like that again.
We passed through a beautiful moutain drive and decided to stop and take a picture. After driving 40 hours in 4-5 days we were all exhausted and promised each other there would be no more road trips!!! Well, that is until next year.
