Kaleb is 6 months old!

Well our boy Kaleb is already 6 months old!!! Why does he have to grow up so fast? We took him in for his 6 month check up and the doctor said he's a perfectly healthy baby, Yay! He is now 27" long and weighs 20 lbs and 13 oz., Big boy!!! It's been a busy month for this youngster, he's been making lot's of discoveries. He found his toes and now loves to suck on them or hold his feet while smiling and making the silliest girgling noises, during his diaper changes. He's been experimenting with some new sounds his voice can make. He's discovered what rice cereal tastes like. He rolls from his back to his side, and from belly to back. His favorite play activity is to grab a baby blanket and put it over his face, so I can pull it off and say "pick a boo". He thinks this is hillarious! He's become more silly and smiley each day. He loves meeting new people and has mastered the art of charming them. He enjoys laughing at our cats, or mommy dancing around, and at daddy being silly. Here are some pics of him this month.
He sleeps with this stuffed elephant that Jarom's work gave him. He looks so cute snuggled up to it.
He's been sucking his lips in lately, it cracks me up.

And yes, this boy has been teething. The doctor said they will come in the bottom first.

You probably guessed we had to upgrade him to his big boy car seat. Goodbye to the convenient newborn car seat, he definately outgrew it! Here we are at the store trying him out in his new car seat. HE LOVES IT! It's so soft and cushy, and it makes him look small again.

Seaworld Part 2

We decided to take advantage of our passes and return to Seaworld to celebrate Kaleb's 6 month birthday. This trip we had more time to visit all the different sea animals.

The flamingos were really stinky!!!

I really loved these super cool moon jellyfish.

We love Shamu!
Happy 6 month birthday Kaleb, We love you!!!!!!!

Las Vegas Trip

A month sure does go by fast. I've decided to finally update our blog. A few weeks ago we took a trip to Vegas. Jarom needed to go for business and Kaleb and I got to go with him. While there we went to the brunch buffet at Treasure Island (Delicious!!), and got to attend one of my friends wedding receptions.
We also took Kaleb out for his first swim.
Here he his before the big dip. After Vegas we drove out to the Watts family ranch in Utah to meet Aaron, Krystal, and AJ for the weekend. We took a short hike over to the lake. It was so beautiful!!

I love this picture, Krystal was tickling AJ's thigh, and his reaction was adorable! It was fun visiting with them again.

Here's AJ practicing his driving skills early. He get's more cute every time
we see him. The boys had a chance to catch up on some playing time together.

Kaleb 5 months old

I decided to dress Kaleb up as a paperboy for his 5 month old pics. (I got the idea after looking at a friends pictures). I thought he looked so cute, and the outfit really showed off the rolls on his arms. Jarom put together this creative collage of some of the pictures.

Balboa Date

We went to Balboa Island last week for our family date. I've been wanting to go for the past couple of months and I was so excited we finally had a chance to go. It was a beautiful day, and we enjoyed taking pictures of Kaleb experiencing a lot of "firsts".

Here we our riding the ferry to get to the island.

I told Jarom let's make like the couple from the movie "Charly" and ride the ferris wheel. He said, "okay, as long as you don't die in my arms."

Kaleb was so cute sitting in between us, he really enjoyed the movement of the ride.

After, we took Kaleb on his first carousel ride.

Then we had some fun playing in the arcade. It's one of our favorite things to do.
Kaleb got to shoot some basketballs with Daddy, ride the motorcycle, and play skiball with Mommy. We had a great time!

Kaleb's first roll

Here's a clip from a couple weeks ago of Kaleb's first roll from tummy to back. He hasn't mastered the roll from back to belly yet, but he does enjoy rolling from his back onto his side.

Fun in the Sand!

We went to the beach last week with the mommy's group from my ward. It was nice to get out and stick our feet in the sand. Kaleb mostly played with toys under our beach umbrella for shade. (Gotta protect that fair skin)

Nap time!
