Heading off to Washington

We are heading off to Washington to visit with family for a couple weeks. It will be Kaleb's first time on an airplane. I'm really excited to get to visit with my family, and see Washington again. It's such a beautiful state! I love all the green trees and plants, as well as the clear blue sky and fresh air. Very nice!

We will post more when we get back, and we hope you all have a wonderful week!

Day at the Park

I just recently discovered my new favorite park. It's called heritage park in cerritos. It's quite the charming little park with beautiful trees, a duck pond, and a playground. I went the first time with my friend Jennifer, who introduced me to it. Jennifer has the custest little girl, Mackenzie, who's just a little over one year old. She has the rosiest cheeks, so precious!

Thankyou Jennifer for picking a great park, and spending some time with Kaleb and I.

I liked it so much that Jarom and I went back for our family home evening night. We decided to make it a picnic and stopped at Stater Bros. first to pick up some deli items.
While there we saw the cutest little baby duck. That was my first time seeing a baby duck in real life!

Then the coolest thing happened. A family had found a momma duck and her 2 babies in there back yard and came to the park to release them into the pond. So we got to watch them jump into the water, it was the cutest thing I've ever saw. The sad thing was, though, that shortly after they released the mom and babies the other male ducks started to attack the momma duck. So she had to keep flying away, and each time she would come back to try and check on her babies they would attack her again. What punks! I want to go back and visit the duck family again and see how they're doing.

Kaleb first bite

Hey everyone, just thought I'd post a clip of Kaleb's first bite of food. This was actually about a week before he turned 6 months old. He had been "eyeing" my food for a couple weeks before this so I figured he was ready to give solids a try.

Ballroom Dance Night

We had a great time at the ballroom dance class last night. I'm not gonna lie, dancing is my favorite outlet, and I've been so excited Jarom has been willing to learn dancing. It really makes me feel closer to him.

Jarom, you are a wonderful dance partner and an amazing partner in life. Thank you for all the laughs and good times. Wo fei chang ai ni, wo qin ai de xiansheng. Ni shi wo de yong yuan de pengyou!

Ballroom Dance Club

I love dancing!! It's always been one of my biggest interests, and ballroom is one of my favorite types of dancing. Especially when my husband is my partner!! :o) I was so excited when Jarom said he'd be willing to learn dancing, and I've been extremely impressed with him for being able to learn it so quickly. Although we both still have a lot to learn, Jarom and I decided to start a ballroom dance club for our ward. We've already taught two dance classes so far, and it's been lot's of fun. We will be having another dance night this friday night, May 16th, 7:00pm, at our church building. We'd like to invite any of you, who are in the area, to come if you're interested.

Kaleb is 6 months old!

Well our boy Kaleb is already 6 months old!!! Why does he have to grow up so fast? We took him in for his 6 month check up and the doctor said he's a perfectly healthy baby, Yay! He is now 27" long and weighs 20 lbs and 13 oz., Big boy!!! It's been a busy month for this youngster, he's been making lot's of discoveries. He found his toes and now loves to suck on them or hold his feet while smiling and making the silliest girgling noises, during his diaper changes. He's been experimenting with some new sounds his voice can make. He's discovered what rice cereal tastes like. He rolls from his back to his side, and from belly to back. His favorite play activity is to grab a baby blanket and put it over his face, so I can pull it off and say "pick a boo". He thinks this is hillarious! He's become more silly and smiley each day. He loves meeting new people and has mastered the art of charming them. He enjoys laughing at our cats, or mommy dancing around, and at daddy being silly. Here are some pics of him this month.
He sleeps with this stuffed elephant that Jarom's work gave him. He looks so cute snuggled up to it.
He's been sucking his lips in lately, it cracks me up.

And yes, this boy has been teething. The doctor said they will come in the bottom first.

You probably guessed we had to upgrade him to his big boy car seat. Goodbye to the convenient newborn car seat, he definately outgrew it! Here we are at the store trying him out in his new car seat. HE LOVES IT! It's so soft and cushy, and it makes him look small again.

Seaworld Part 2

We decided to take advantage of our passes and return to Seaworld to celebrate Kaleb's 6 month birthday. This trip we had more time to visit all the different sea animals.

The flamingos were really stinky!!!

I really loved these super cool moon jellyfish.

We love Shamu!
Happy 6 month birthday Kaleb, We love you!!!!!!!
